Lennox "Country Collection" Steel Insert
Lennox bought Country Stoves a family owned and operated company from Auburn, WA just outside Seattle. The company prides themselves on Quality and Reliability and the owner's son and daughter still work there under Lennox. Over the past couple years Lennox has phased out their "Whitfield Collection" in favor of the "Country Collection". Whitfield was the original creator of pellet stove so this should tell you something about Country Stoves. The Winslow PI40 of the "Country Collection is Lennox only insert and that is all it needs because this stove is versatily, durable, simple and easy to use. The body of the stove consists of 1/4 and 3/16 mild carbon steel. The heat exchanger is made of 28.8 lbs. of heavy duty welded steel. The stove is self igniting just by pushing a button. They use Fasco blower motors the best in the industry. The burn pot is cast iron which ensures it's extra long life span. The burn pot is also self clean once an hour the combustion fan kicks up to high to blow out any clickers(uncombusted pellets). The stove has 4 safety switches which lets you know if there is something wrong with the stove such as a clogged air way extra. There is a telephone jack in the control board for easy diagnoisics. For easy of operation the control board only has one know that automatically adjusts the most effieient fan speed with your heat rate. So you can enjoy your flame with the least amount of maintance they have employed a unique air wash system. The Winlsow offers 5 different trim options along with an option for a fake log set and brick backing. There is also a kit to frame in the insert for new construction. It is also backed by the Goodhousekeeping Seal.
St. Croix "York & Ashby" Steel Pellet Inserts
St. Croix is an American company from Iowa. They produce a variety of not only pellet stoves but also multi fuel heaters that can burn corn or pellet. They also produce pellet or corn furnances. They have won vesta awards at the annual HPBA show in 2003-2005 and 2008. There are two different types of inserts the offere the York Insert which has been their traditional insert for years and the new multi fuel burning Ashby Insert. The St. Croix Stoves offer a unique VersaGrate system that shakes the ash down from the burn area automatically. They also have a Smartstat feature which allows automatic ignition and shut down. The heat exchangers on the inserts are made of stainless steel which is corrosion-resistant to allow for easy cleaning with their scraper system. They come standard with digital control boards and fake brick backings. The inserts offer gold and nickel door and filigree upgrades. Regency "Greenfire" Freestanding Steel Pellet Stove
Regency is a Canadian company that has distribution sites across the East Coast which allows for quick delivery and they always have product in stock. Regency has only one Insert pellet stove the Greenfire GFI55. The Greenfire has a clean look, automatic ignition, an airwash system, heavy duty heat exchanger, easy operational controls and quiet operations with a 160 cfm blower. The stove comes with a cast iron brick liner that will radiant heat from the back wall of the stove through the ceramic glass. Their optional features include an antique copper or nickel door overlay and a fake one piece ceramic log set.
Hampton Cast Iron Pellet Insert
Hampton is a company located in Vancouver, Canada and their pellet stove line consist of one freestanding stove and one insert. They are just as beautiful as their wood stoves with sharp lines and unique details in the cast. The cast offer a nice even radiant heat. Their stoves are multi fuel rated and can burn pellets, corn, wheat and barley. Since the stove can burn multiple types of fuels their are some unique feature that you will not see on your average pellet stove. The stove has a agitator which rotates through the burn pot and breaks up any clinkers that could form from pellets. This design is also great for burning different kinds of pellets since the stove is equiped with a setting for high thru low quality of pellets. The freestanding pellet stove boasts 55,000 Btu's and is rated to heat up to 2,500 Sq. Ft.
