At Berkshire Hearth and Home we carry two different kinds of wood fireplaces the new high efficiency EPA certified wood fireplaces and your basic prefab wood fire box. Our high efficiency fireplaces are constructed by Lennox and Regency. While the basic prefab fireboxes are soley from Lennox. The new high efficiency fireplaces are the best of both worlds. They give you the ambiance of a tradition fireplace while providing an efficient heat producing source for your home. The venting for these fireplaces requires class A chimney pipe which allows closer clearances and takes up less chase space. Adding a fireplace to an existing room or a new construction project is one way to create that warm cozy feeling in the room and creates an atmosphere in the cold winter months of the Northeast that is more than welcoming. The high efficient fireplaces are built like a woodstove on the inside but can be surrounded with decor that transforms it to look like a real fireplace with doors. Originally called the BIS by Security Chimney which translates to built in stove.

Lennox High Efficiency Woodburning Fireplaces
Lennox offers five high efficiency fireplaces and one mid efficiency fireplaces the Cambria which has retractable pocket doors and a tall opening. The fireplaces has various features and sizes ranging from the 33" Ladera which is a perfect swap for a 36" prefab that must builders install; to the magnificant 48" Montecito Estate which has 2 doors. Security Chimneys
Security Chimneys is a sister company of Lennox in Canada. They make all the vent pipe for Lennox and actually produce the whole BIS collection of stoves first and put them out on the market for one year before Lennox. So you will see all the specs are the same as on the Lennox page with different names. (click HERE for more info.)

Lennox Woodburning Fireplaces
Lennox offers a variety of classic prefab fireboxes. The Colonial is a Rumford-style fireplace that has a tall opening offering a 36"W x 29"H opening. The Estate is one of the largest prefabs available at 48"W x 28"H. The Magnafire is a See-thru fireplace that is 43"W x 24"H. The LBR is a middle level fireplace that comes in 2 different sizes 38" and 43" wide. The TM-4500 is slightly lareger than the LBR at 45: wide. Lennox also offers fireplaces that can serve as indoor or outdoor fireplaces they are all stainless and come in various sizes from 32" to 42" openings. (click HERE for more info.)
